Product Introduction
3A molecular sieves are primarily engineered for water adsorption and exhibit no adsorption capacity for molecules with a diameter exceeding 3A (0.3 nm). Tailored to industrial application requirements, our 3A molecular sieves feature faster adsorption kinetics, increased regeneration cycles, higher crushing strength, and enhanced pollution resistance—effectively improving utilization efficiency and extending service life. They serve as the preferred desiccant for deep drying, purification, and polymerization of gas and liquid phases in the petroleum and chemical industries.
Key Specifications
- Chemical formula: 2/3K₂O·1/3Na₂O·Al₂O₃·2SiO₂·9/2H₂O
- Silicon-aluminum ratio: SiO₂/Al₂O₃ ≈ 2
- Effective pore size: Approximately 3Å (0.3 nm)
Applications
Primarily utilized for drying petroleum cracked gas, olefins, refinery gas, and oilfield gas, 3A molecular sieves are also ideal desiccants for the chemical, pharmaceutical, and insulated glass industries. Specific applications include:
- Drying of various liquids (e.g., ethanol)
- Air drying
- Refrigerant drying
- Natural gas and methane drying
- Drying of unsaturated hydrocarbons and cracked gas (ethylene, acetylene, propylene, butadiene)
Regeneration Guidelines
3A molecular sieves can be regenerated and reused by removing adsorbed moisture and other substances through heating to 250°F (121°C). Post-regeneration, store the sieves in airtight containers until subsequent use to prevent unintended moisture adsorption.
