Product Introduction
Coconut-shell powdered activated carbon is manufactured from premium natural coconut shells as the raw material. Utilizing advanced equipment and scientific technologies, it undergoes processes including oxygen-free carbonization of coconut shells, phosphoric acid mixing (acid washing), and rinsing, ultimately forming a black powdered product.
Endowed with a well-developed macroporous structure and a large specific surface area, this product exhibits strong adsorption capacity, rapid filtration rate, and excellent decolorization and purification performance.
Applications
- Coconut-shell powdered activated carbon is widely applied in the decolorization, refinement, deodorization, and impurity removal of products such as water treatment, drinking water purification, sugar, lactic acid and its salts, glutamic acid and its salts, citric acid and its salts, animal and plant proteins, condiments, pharmaceutical intermediates, vitamins, and antibiotics.
- It can detoxify by adsorbing toxic substances into its micropores, thereby preventing the absorption of toxins [by organisms].
- It can bind to various substances and adsorb these chemical compounds, achieving the desired effect of removing such substances.
- In the chemical industry, it can serve as a catalyst and catalyst carrier. For instance, it can adsorb sulfur dioxide and catalyze its oxidation into sulfur trioxide, as well as facilitate the reaction between chlorine and carbon monoxide to produce phosgene.
